PROGRAM'S BACKGROUND

Oil & gas test separators are designed for foamy oil degassing and associated gas treatment in gas collecting and treatment units at oil and gas fields. Oil & gas separators are used at first stage, intermediate and final stages of oil preparation units. Most refinery processes include one or more separators and the impact on unit performance is often overlooked. Poor separator design and performance can result in foaming in the separator, gas carry under in oil or water streams, liquid carry over in the gas stream, excessive water in oil stream, oil carry under in the water stream or poor level control.

This program provides you with the best coverage and knowledge needed in petroleum and natural gas separation process. It is a comprehensive source for the newest developments, advances, and procedures in the separation industry, covering everything from theory of separation, construction of separators, control of separators, separator safety systems to operation of separators.

This program covers the different types of separators typically encountered in oil and gas production facilities. You will learn where the different types of separation equipment are used based on operating conditions and separation performance requirements. Frequent references will be made to how the types of separators are incorporated into real production facility process flow diagrams.
