PROGRAM'S BACKGROUND

This program focuses on the importance of safety measures taken in oil production facilities and sub-center operations, use and maintenance of oil and gas devices such as separators, scrubbers, fire tanks, oil tanks, flow meters, pressure gauges, pressure vessels, pressure switches, couplings, shaft bearings, gear boxes, regulators, blowers, compressors and safety and relief valves.

In all industries especially the oil and gas industry safety devices act as the last line of defense as they save human lives and property, the pressure relief device for instance is considered the most important single safety device on a boiler or pressure vessel as if it fails to function for which it was designed, an overpressure condition occurs within the boiler or pressure vessel resulting in dangerous explosions. This program is designed as a comprehensive guide to oil and gas devices, it will help participants identify any problems that might occur on the devices and guide them to prepare maintenance schedules.

PROGRAM'S OBJECTIVES

This Program’s Attendees Will Be More Able To:

›       Acquire important information and knowledge on the design, construction, installation, operation, inspection and maintenance of safety devices

›       Know safety measurements taken in sub-center operations and oil production facilities

›       Acknowledge the importance of safety devices used within the oil devices

›       Select and specify the correct safety device for any given application
