PROGRAM'S BACKGROUND


This program focuses on the importance, use and maintenance of safety and oil devices such as safety valves, pressure vessels, pressure switches, desalting vessels, heaters and tanks. In all industries especially the oil and gas industry safety devices act as the last line of defense as they save human lives and property, the pressure relief device for instance is considered the most important single safety device on a boiler or pressure vessel as if it fails to function for which it was designed, an overpressure condition occurs within the boiler or pressure vessel resulting in dangerous explosions.

The purpose of this program is to offer an extensive study on the use of such devices and also the testing and maintenance of these devices. This program is designed as a comprehensive guide to oil and safety devices, it will help participants identify any problems that might occur on the devices and guide them to prepare maintenance schedules.
