PROGRAM'S BACKGROUND


Compliance with ANSI/API code requirements for design and construction is needed to assure the safety petroleum refinery and chemical plant piping. The designer, fabricator, supplier, erector, examiner, and inspector’s understanding and application of these requirements is essential in producing this desired safety. The program provides requirements for the design, fabrication, examination and testing of metallic piping systems designed for the wide variety of fluid services used in the process industries. Selection of materials, pipe, valves and fittings will be discussed.
