PROGRAM'S BACKGROUND

The program deals with different process operations challenges such as maximizing production output while maintaining product quality, higher operating rates/risks, safety awareness, the usage of sophisticated plant automation in addition to the increase of the operator’s scope of responsibility. The program presents a variety of disciplines involved in the transportation and processing of refinery crudes, intermediates, and products. In addition to fundamentals such as mass and energy balances, chemistry and thermodynamics, and fluid statics and dynamics, other areas include separation processes, process equipment design and operations, process flow synthesis and analysis, economics and process control, among others.

This program is designed to provide the participants with a general understanding of the fundamentals as well as practical elements involved in refinery process engineering. As a non-process engineer working alongside process engineers, this program will allow participants to interact more effectively with your colleagues, having gained a meaningful understanding of the principles of the field. The program also highlights why troubleshooting matters to all operations personnel and the consequences of failure on EHS, cost and staff. The program will help participants develop an effective approach and skills required to deal with operations troubleshooting.

PROGRAM'S OBJECTIVES

This Program’s Attendees Will Be More Able To:

›       Gain an overview of refinery operations and processes

›       Understand the basics of process parameters

›       Become familiar with principles of chemical and physical processes involved in refinery operations

›       Understand key processes involved in the transportation of gases, liquids, and solids in the refinery
