PROGRAM'S BACKGROUND
Artificial lift plays a crucial role in Oil & Gas production, especially in mature oilfield. Artificial lift is not only accelerating the production, but also vital to the economic success of the overall development. Therefore, selecting and designing the appropriate artificial lift is important. After completing the program, the participants will possess and enhance the skill to select, design, plan, analyze and optimize the artificial lift system for offshore oilfield.
The program will start with Multi-Phase Flow and NODAL Analysis and how to compare and select the correct artificial lift system. A thorough understanding on the principles, applications, design and operational issues on the artificial lift system will be provided. Delegates will also learn through case studies and exercises every training day to gain practical knowledge from the trainer’s past experiences. Besides designing, the delegates will also learn to analyze the cost when selecting the artificial lift system. Furthermore, the program will cover the advanced artificial lift systems currently available. The delegates will gain knowledge on the advantages and disadvantages of each type of the advanced artificial lift system.
This program blends lecture, hands-on exercises, and program teaching styles to enhance learning. Participants work with software that allows them to design and analyze artificial lift designs. Such programs should improve performance and result in higher production rates and/or reduced operating costs. Participants learn how to design and troubleshoot rod pumping, continuous gas lift, and electric submersible pump systems. Other methods such as PCP, plunger lift, jet pump, hydraulic pump, and intermittent gas lift will also be addressed. Participants gain experience in solving problems by hand and also by using advanced computer programs. Troubleshooting is an important part of artificial lift operations and several typical surveillance problems are solved. The class includes pictures and videos of most important equipment components while being applied. With increased prices, more emphasis is placed on techniques to maximize production. New developments at various stages of development and application are also covered.
